About Me:

Currently residing in Camp Springs, MD; just 4 miles from Andrews Air Force Base. My wife and I moved to DC metro area in Feb 2002 from Abilene, Texas. Served in the Air Force 20 years; drove all the lower 48 states as an OTR (Over-the-Road) driver for three years, loved every minute of it and learned a lot about America; taught elementary school for 3 years; currently learning all I can about Microsoft server applications so that I can get my MCSE within a year. Wow, we have relocated within the DC area about 6 times since our arrival. We just recently moved into our second new town house and are enjoying all that homeownership has to offer. Married for 28 years, two children, both living in Texas, 3 grandchildren.

What do you do, what's your story?

I am a Network Technician employed at a private school and love what I do. I like to read current events, history, self improvement books, and I am really getting into jogging. I can say that turning 50 was a time to reflect on the balance of days that lie ahead. Hoping that my current good health will be long lasting. I really started to approach the feeling of being 50 about a year or so ago. I set out to do more exercising and I have keep up with that goal. I currently jog five or sometimes six days a week for about 5 miles plus. I am able to really meditate while exercising and it is something I really look forward to doing; especially in the early morning, around 4:30 am or so. I occassionally get out to a night club and dance til my heart is content. I am happy that I am in good shape and the best of health; hoping I can enjoy the challenges of life for another 25 years with no serious health problems. By the way, I posed in this photo wearing my swimming shorts that I wore while on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this spring, just prior to turning 50. This photo was taken about two weeks ago.
